Old New York Elegance: A Harvard Club Wedding Filled With Classic Style and Editorial Romance

There is nothing quite like a wedding in New York City. Now let’s amp it up by having the reception at THE Harvard Club! Rich wood interiors, iconic library atmosphere, and the unmistakable old New York charm. It is the kind of space that invites a certain presence and intention, making every photograph feel deeply refined.

The day began in the Plaza Hotel and Harvard Club for both the bride and groom. As a second shooter, I went directly to Harvard Club to capture the guys and their morning. Groom details are so fun, and sometimes overlooked! It’s my job to make sure the groom’s items are captured just as well as the bride’s. Following the getting ready portion of the day, we all met at The Plaza for first looks and portraits. It was a rainy day, which made for beautiful photos inside the suite.

After first looks and a few portraits, we all convened at the cathedral to get ready for the ceremony. Before the ceremony, both bride and groom took a few moments to relax, soak it all in, and lose the shoes for a minute. From the choir loft, they could see guests entering, but remained hidden. An incredibly special moment!

Ceremony complete, we made our way to Harvard Club.

The reception space was breathtaking, filled with classical florals beneath ornate architecture. Truly an unreal space!

Every room offered a new backdrop rich with character. Polished herringbone floors, grand portrait walls, a dream library for this book gal, and too much to even take in. An absolute dream.

As an editorial and documentary wedding photographer, capturing celebrations in New York City’s most iconic spaces is one of my greatest joys. The Harvard Club is a venue that invites sophistication and incredible warmth, and this wedding beautifully blended tradition, elegance, and emotional storytelling in a way that felt distinctly New York.
